CRE Credit Services Review

CRE Credit Services provides credit repair services to the public by disputing inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable items with credit bureaus. CRE’s offers a free, no obligation initial credit counseling session and provide a full refund (less a fee less than $75) for each deletion if not 100% satisfied.

Currently, there is no CRE Credit Services page with the Better Business Bureau, and I could find very little additional information about this company. However, they do provide a Results tab on their website — a great place to show that they can actually get items removed (even better than plain, written testimonials). While they don’t describe their program step-by-step like many other companies do, there is sufficient information about their processes. One thing to note is that CRE Credit Services say they’ve been in business for 20 years, but, if they have been in business for that long, they would have already established a BBB page. It is possible that they may have changed names or ownership, but that information should then be updated on their BBB page.

they’ve been open for less than 3 years. to quote that they’ve been open 20 years is just plain crazy. they used to be financial relief experts. simon webster is the owner there.

Thanks for providing that bit of info.

I believe the site says CRE has 20 years experience in the industry, not that they have been open 20 years. Also, Financial Relief Experts is a completely separate company. Simon Webster is the co-owner of CRE though.

Well Folks, I thought I reserced this company, “CRE” with some reservations, all I can say Is the so called “sinior creditor” man Ian Grady, was quite nice at first, the norm is to promise great results in 38 or so days, I mean for a start, ok, however alot more than 38 days has past and folks here’s what I got!! $599. for me to “retain them” (paid) 99.00 ea month starting last month, ok, and another fee to join a credit monotering service! geat huh!! it gets better!, after nearly well I should say 53 days gone by, I get…..ready…..wait for it… ONE, yep ONE dispute! what a great deal! WOW! so I call Ian and ofcourse, he “gives” me to “Jarrod” yeah I like naming people, because of conserns on my behalf .
so, how many time do ya think they called me to talk about our conserns….go ahead guess… how many time do I get there Voice mail…. gee Ian, Jerrod, phones not working? kinda busy huh? so you do the math, my personal opion, find someone else! Just sayin! Garry

I have to say I am not surprised. This is the most common tale from folks who use credit repair companies. People would save a whole lot of money if they would just do it themselves. There are some absolutely great resources out there to show you exactly what to do (here’s a great one). Doing it yourself will save you not only a ton of money, but wasted time also.

I ‘thought’ i was getting a good repair service when they said they could get results in 60 days! Not so! Absolutely NO improvement on my scores whatsoever!! I’m currently demanding ALL of my money back from these people. I think there should be some federal investigations going on with them. Just saying!

ChoiceREVU Editor July 9, 2012 at 10:13 am

Hi Marcia,

This is a very common tale… Only about 2% of those who get bad or no results ever complain about it, but most credit repair firms simply don’t get the job done. There are many reasons for this, as you can learn in this special report on credit repair companies.

As we have always said, the best way to repair your credit is to do it yourself with the aid of a proven system.

Hi well I paid them 799 dollars and my score has jump about 110 points. Now I trod paying things off and doing it myself but the score never moved. Thank u.

Hi Matt,

It sounds like what you were doing on your own was not the best strategy. There are some very specific (yet simple) things that need to be done when disputing your own credit . If you don’t do them, or if you do any one of the common disputing mistakes, you will not see success.

My bet is that you could have seen even better results faster for about $47 by just using this system. I know, because I’ve been in your shoes and have seen this system first hand.

I am surprised by some of the reviews above because I had a great experience and have referred several friends and family members that have as well. i was referred to them by a loan officer who said his entire mortgage company uses them. He told me they were really reputable and that one of the owners worked for Experian in the legal and compliance department. I was really hesitant at first, but I couldn’t be more happy. They have a guarantee too my loan officer told me they honor it so if someone is looking for a good credit repair company I would recommend them. I got my home and good credit again!
